Rimses6, RealDolmen”s CMMS, has been upgraded with an application for mobile workers: Rimses Mobile. A particularly innovative feature of Rimses Mobile is its integration with the workflow for organizing and monitoring safety in relation to the work to be performed. In a single glance, a technician can see whether or not the work to be performed has been given the green light, based on the safety measures that have been taken. Rimses Mobile provides functionality for technicians in the field, so that they have access to the many features of Rimses6. Given the safety aspect of the application, this includes working papers, safety measures and LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures. If a working paper requires the machine undergoing maintenance to be placed in a status of Lockout, the authorized mobile worker will be able to view the LOTO procedures. The employee can work through the various actions required for Lockout and create tags so that the work to be performed can be given the go-ahead.

Rimses Mobile is designed for both workers in internal maintenance departments and service company technicians who work on client premises. They can connect to the central system and instantly synchronize their information. The major benefit of this is that all of the information is immediately available for everyone on the Rimses Hub.

Rimses Mobile offers workers access to online information about the work to be performed. By simply scanning a barcode on the machine, the worker can display the to-do list on Rimses Mobile, or consult a list of work orders that have already been completed. The technicians can view documents on their mobile device and upload them instantly so that they are available for all users. The maintenance technician can record when the job has been completed, indicate the number of hours worked, explain the problem and note the solution. This ensures that all information is entered into Rimses6 correctly and that the inventory of available parts is always up to date. This leads to improvements in stock control and increased efficiency in the management of inventory.

Rimses Mobile provides workers with a checklist on their device, which they can use to record the results of inspections while completing their rounds. When an inspection proves to be insufficient, this vital information will be immediately available in the system and the individuals responsible for the follow-up will be notified, meaning that action can be taken more swiftly.
