When the water level is higher than this value, either emulsified, dissolved or as free water, this leads to moisture related problems caused by an ineffective oil / water separation. Which leads to a strong reduction of the lubrication film, corrosion, rapid oxidation and / or hydrolysis of the hydraulic oils. With the latest Neptune dehydration units are thousands of water and dirt particles (ppm) removed from the oil to an acceptable dry level.
