Height Specialists was asked to use its Rope Access expertise to drill holes at a height of approximately 80 meters. Although the location is known – at the beginning of 2017, Height Specialists worked on the new lighting plan as part of the renovation of the building – the place where we work now was new; above the tomb of William of Orange.

Before the start of the drilling, we made a custom-made structure so that we can safely and properly work on the beams above the tomb. A safety net was installed, too.

The Rope Access technicians drill holes in places that the client points out by means of laser. After this precision work, a cable is pulled through a tension spring. This allows the client to hoist lamps at a later time. In this way, we work on 8 points in the historic church.

Through the use of Rope Access, also known as industrial climbing, workplaces at height or in hard-to-reach places are faster and easier to reach. Height Specialists has been working with advanced Rope Access techniques for more than 20 years and is IRATA full member. For more information see www.heightspecialists.com.
