SMC, the world’s leading provider of pneumatics, has rolled out the CG1-Z, an updated clean-profile, round air cylinder.
Customers benefit from reduced assembly and maintenance costs, with greater operational flexibility, thanks to the CG1-Z’s many new features that include the ability to make fine adjustments to the auto switch position by simply loosening the attached screw. A transparent auto switch bracket improves the visibility of the LED colour indicator, which is all part of SMC’s focus to refine and improve the performance and functionality of its products so they deliver competitive advantages.
Available with female and male threads, the CG1-Z also saves space when using a female thread which is up to 52mm shorter than its male counterpart. With many mounting options, the CG1-Z can also be mounted directly by using a square rod cover, removing the need for brackets, again saving valuable space and installation time.
It has a bore range of Ø20 to Ø100 and strokes up to 1500mm, with greater precision guaranteed when using the non-rotating rod. There are also the options of an air-hydro version that is ideal for controlling speed and intermediate stops, or a clean design that is ideal for clean rooms graded Class 100.
The CG1-Z offers many other variations including water resistant designs, making it suitable for a wide range of applications such as clamping, pick and place and positioning across many industries including material handling, packaging, general automation, automotive, food and processing.
