As a Systems Architect, you are responsible for the definition, designing and qualifying of the assembly and joining and bonding processes of brand new high tech products. Amongst others, examples are integrated photonics, micro fluidics, intelligent medical productions, CMOS cameras, fiber coupling and chip-to-chip alignment, focusing on connections within Etteplan’s modular machine platform. Besides, you function as the linking pin between sales, our customers and our engineering teams. You work on several projects at the same time, collaborating with our multidisciplinary project teams. Together with the project manager, you function as the ‘engineering heart’ of your projects, being responsible for the overall results.

Defines the system architecture;
Leads the team technically within a project;
Clearly communicates technical aspects with customer and guards technical scope;
Translates (latent) customer demand into a concept;
Delivers a concept and assures it is supported by the whole organization;

Experiences

Strong technical knowledge in machine building;
Knowledgeable of relevant disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, mechatronics Eng);
Has led several technical projects as a team lead/architect;
Ample experience with requirement analysis, determining error budgets, work break down structures;
Ample experience with risk management, including FMEA, RSA;
Knowledge of adhesive bonding techniques and/or micro assembly technologies;
Knowledge of integrated photonics and/or microfluidics is a plus;

Communicates effectively and convincingly with various stakeholders
A strong conceptual thinker and a hands on pragmatist in one, who dares to make choices, always focusing on quality;
At least five years of work experience in mechatronic system development;
Ambitious, determining, stress resistant and an inspiring and creative personality;
Leadership skills and sense of empathy;
Well-developed communicative and social skills;
Oral and written knowledge of Dutch and English.
