Mechan Controls recently launched its new RSS series of RFID coded contactless safety switches. These safety sensors from the RSS range are available in different build sizes, connectors and cable lengths. All types have the same unique features:
-Fully sealed to IP67 / IP69K, making the RSS range suitable for use in dusty and wet environments
-A large alignment tolerance of 8mm
-Available with different pre-wiring (3, 6, 10m), cable lengths or an 8-Pin M12
plug socket
-Type 4 high level coding according to EN 14199 safety standard
-Can be used (in combination with a safety controller) in PLe (EN ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (EN 62061) Type applications
-The RSSG & RDNK feature a diagnostic interface with Dual Color LED
In contrast to many other RFID switches, the RFID switches from the RSS Range use volt-free contacts making them suitable to use in combination with any type of safety relay. In addition, the security sensors from the RSS Range are equipped with OSSD contacts which ensure the safety function when placed in series.
