Amniflex rubber expansion joints are used in many applications that provide the compensation of thermal or mechanical movements. Bellows are made from various kinds of rubber, e.g., EPDM, butyl, nitrile, chloroprene, Viton, and combinations.

Rubber expansion joints are often reinforced by steel wire cord, textile (rubberized) cord, nylon tire cord, PA textile cord, etc. Therefore, they are capable of absorbing axial, lateral, and angular movements while being under low or high pressures and temperatures.

Due to the construction techniques and rubber quality and mixtures, rubber expansion joints are preeminently suitable for applications in:

  • water
  • warm water
  • drinking water
  • cooling water
  • wastewater
  • seawater, etc.

Our scope also covers the need for expansion joints for applications in (weak) acids, alkalis, compressed air, oils, gasoline, grease, and solvents.

We also offer rubber expansion joints for oils, benzene, xylene, alcohols, esters, ketones, town gas, natural gas, LPG (acc. to EN 589), and foodstuffs.

Amniflex rubber expansion joints can withstand temperature variations in a range from -25 °C up to 120 °C (temporarily 150 °C) and a maximum pressure of 16 bar.

They have excellent chemical resistance as well as high physical strength. On top of it, rubber bellows have exceptional corrosion characteristics.

Amniflex rubber expansion joints are generally produced in sizes from nominal 20 mm (3/4″) up to nominal 1000 mm (40″), and with different flange types possible. If necessary, these flanges can be exchanged in our workshop. The expansion joints can also be supplied with tie rods, vacuum support rings, and PTFE lining.

For the maritime as well as industrial markets, we also have Elaflex rubber expansion joints in our scope of supply. This top-quality German product has a wide range of type approvals.
