Compliancy with the CPD is being simplified by making use of CE marked products. CE marking is subject to the control and approval by competent Notified Bodies, authorized by the Member States of the European Union. Fasteners that are standardized in European Harmonized Standards must show the CE marking on either the label or on the accompanying documents.

Main requirements of EN 15048:
– Homogeneous manufacturing lots (one manufacturer)
– Assemblies must be supplied in the original, unopened single pack sealed by the manufacturer of the assemblies
– The manufacturer must have a certified production control system (FPC certificate), including product assessment
– Bolts and nuts must be marked with “SB” (Structural Bolting)
– Packaging must be CE marked
