Cegelec in the Netherlands (CBB) acquired at the end of December WMI Liquid Food Systems, a company specialised in control systems and process equipment for the food industry. With a portfolio of clients including Bavaria, Campina, DMV-International and Coca Cola, WMI Liquid Food Systems, previously known as Ensysta Piping Plus, employees some 50 people in its Veghel vesting, located in South-Eastern Netherlands, close to the Belgian and German borders, and is specialised in the design, construction and commissioning of such systems.
WMI Liquid Food Systems will be part, as an independent unit, of Cegelec Netherlands` `Industry` Business Unit. Wouter Middel will continue to head WMI. This acquisition should lead to a grow in revenues and headcount for both companies.

Ronald Van Peperstraate, Managing Director of Cegelec Netherlands, explained that `this acquisition is part of Cegelec`s growth strategy and meets the criteria we set for ourselves: high technological standard and direct contact with the client`.

He added: `Cegelec is active in the food industry in the Netherlands since 2005, particularly in the areas of electro-technical installations and automation systems. The WMI Liquid Food Systems acquisition will allow us to offer enlarged, multidisciplinary, services to our clients`.
